About Samira Helmy

Samira has been drawing from a very young age. Her mother, in an attempt to sleep a little longer in the morning, first discovered her 3 year old daughter’s abilities after giving her a packet of textas and encouraging her to draw on her bedsheets.

After a diploma in graphic arts, Samira worked as a freelance illustrator in the 1990s.

It was inevitable that a lifelong love of tattoos would eventually lead her to learning the craft.

Samira is happy working across all styles but she has a particular interest in colour work: from pinups, comic art and anything quirky to realistic roses and animals. She also enjoys working in black and grey.
